Pierre La Baume

Interaction- and Service Designer

Pierre La Baume is an interaction and service designer. Most of the time he works, researches and lives in Berlin and Potsdam. In 2010 he started working as a interaction consultant and became the first DAAD(*1)-scholarship alumnus in Interface Design at the University of Sydney. Pierre worked and studied in several German cities such as Stuttgart, Cologne and Munich as well as in the production of educative video material in South America. In 2003, he had the privilege to work as a practical trainee at the multiple awarded Atelier of Wolfgang Beinert in Munich. Since 2010, Pierre is member of the Design Center Berlin.

Pierre’s focus lies on the conception and creation of information graphics, complex data visualisations and the management of complex human computer interaction. He is a data visualisation fan(atic) with a strong believe in aesthetic design. Apart from captology [computers as persuasive technologies], Pierre is particularly interested in the question of how technology can be used as promotional tool that engages people and leads to a positive change in behaviour and attitude.
